Leading the Arrow Avengers was a character cooler than a polar bear's toenails and funnier than a monkey's uncle. His name was Archibald the Amazing Archer, or as his friends called him, Archie. Archie was not your typical archer. He was a spaghetti-loving, sunglasses-wearing squirrel who could shoot an arrow with an accuracy that would make Olympic champions green with envy. Archie and his knee-slappingly hilarious troop of tiny archers, trained under the Californian sunshine, transforming parking lots into archery arenas, using palm trees as bow holders. Archie's humor was as sharp as his arrows, and his laughter was infectious. His favorite joke was, "Why don't archers tell secrets? Because they always go straight to the point!" The Arrow Avengers were a laugh riot, a bunch of archery-obsessed comedians, shooting arrows and punchlines with equal skill. They embodied the spirit of California - full of life, laughter, and a dash of the extraordinary. Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. Camp Sugar Pine in the Sierra Nevada National Forest of Central California is the perfect place for families to find a spiritual retreat. Located at an elevation of 4,200 feet, it's an easy hour drive north of Fresno on all paved roads. It's also a mere 7½ miles from the southern gate of Yosemite National Park and only a 3½ hour drive from the San Francisco Bay. Each year, nearly 10,000 campers from hundreds of different churches, public and private schools and colleges, non-profits and businesses come to Camp Sugar Pine for a memorable experience. The warm atmosphere of the camp and the ministry that takes place there have been life changing for many of the campers, and many have even found their way into the family of God. For the past 60 years, Camp Sugar Pine has seen God do great things, and the camp staff and campers pray that He will continue to do so in the years to come.
