Deep in the golden heart of the Sunshine State, California, where the sun kisses the sea, and the palm trees whistle melodies, dwells an energetic troop of kids known as the Sensory Superstars. Under the rainbow-colored sky, these quirky little adventurers love to dive headfirst into the magical world of Sensory Play, transforming ordinary days into extraordinary voyages of discovery. Our champion of this tale is a zany, fun-loving character named Whiskers Wigglebottom, a funky orange octopus sporting a polka-dotted bow tie and top hat. With his eight ticklish tentacles, Whiskers is the master of juggling sensory balls, tossing fluffy clouds, and tickling the giggles out of the Sensory Superstars. His fun-filled adventures largely revolve around the sensory play activities that these clever Californian kids adore. These kids, you see, are not your average bunch of young explorers. They have an insatiable curiosity for the world around them. Using touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound, they eagerly delve into a universe of learning that is as vast as the Pacific Ocean. Whether it's molding squishy play dough into misshapen dinosaurs, listening to the whispers of seashells, or creating vibrant rainbows with slippery finger paint, their days are filled with laughter, learnings, and a whole lot of messy hands. Whiskers Wigglebottom, with his twinkling, round eyes and infectious laughter, leads the Sensory Superstars on these wild escapades. His motto, "The world is a playground, and every day is a new game!" echoes throughout the Californian valleys, inspiring kids far and wide to join in on the Sensory Play fun. So, if you're ever in the land of sunshine and dreams, keep an ear out for the giggles and cheers of Whiskers and his Sensory Superstars!

At our academy, we're committed to fostering an environment that brings out the best in each student. Our classes aim to not merely impart martial arts techniques but also to instill qualities such as discipline, respect, and resilience. We are firm believers that the values learned at our academy extend beyond the training hall and will benefit our students in all their future pursuits.

The camp is located in the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest and is one of the first fully accessible camps in the United States. A special use permit granted by the San Bernardino National Forest allows us to operate and we are fully accredited by the American Camp Association. The name Camp Paivika was chosen by the campers themselves. In the language of the Cahuilla Native Americans, the word “paivika” (pronounced pi-vee-ka) means “dawn.” This reflects a new dawn of welcome, acceptance and inclusion and is a perfect name for this incredible camp. Camp Paivika is dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences for campers with mild to severe developmental and physical disabilities such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and Down syndrome. Our highly trained and caring staff provide a safe, exciting and nurturing camp environment. We provide a wide range of activities tailored to the individual needs of each camper. From swimming in the lake, to arts and crafts, to star gazing, every camper can find something they love and enjoy doing.
