Once upon a time, in the majestic state of Wisconsin, known for its cheese-belching cows and the grandeur of the Great Lakes, a group of exceptionally creative kids embarked on the magnificent journey of Visual Arts. These weren't just any ordinary kids, oh no! These were the "Picassos of Pastureland," the "da Vincis of Dairyland," hailed far and wide for their awe-inspiring masterpieces. Within this talented group, there was always a whirl of color and a buzz of creativity. They were led by their effervescent mentor, Mr. Monet Moose, a curious creature with a paintbrush for a tail and a palette for antlers. He had a knack for making art exciting, especially by using his antlers as a canvas and his tail as an ever-ready brush. Mr. Monet Moose guided his gifted artistic gang through the vibrant valleys of Wisconsin, using the colors of nature as their inspiration. The kids would often joke, saying, "We don't need a rainbow, we've got Mr. Moose!" His tail swishing, the Moose would laugh, "And I've got you talented tots, the true colors of Wisconsin!" They painted the sunsets over Lake Michigan, captured the charm of the capital, Madison, and laid the beauty of their farm fields onto canvas. Their artwork, much like the cheese of their homeland, was rich, delightful, and full of character. Yes, these were the "da Vincis of Dairyland," the artistic heart of Wisconsin, spreading joy and color wherever they went. The Picassos of the Pastureland, led by their whimsically wonderful Moose mentor, they painted Wisconsin not just on canvas, but also into the hearts of everyone who beheld their masterpieces.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
