In the enchanting state of Vermont, where maple trees twirl their leaves like tiny dancers and mountains touch the sky, a different sort of magic happens. In a place where the golden rays of the sun mingle with the cool morning mist, a group of unusual kids gather around a brightly colored sphere. This orb, known as a soccer ball, is the object of their affection. These are the soccer kids of Vermont, and let me tell you, they are as unique as uncooked noodles in a salad bar! Now, picture an imaginary character, Stompy the Soccer Squirrel. Stompy, with his bushy tail as fluffy as whipped cream and goggles as big as pancakes, is the unofficial mascot of Vermont's soccer kids. He's as famous in these green valleys as the syrupy sweet aroma of Vermont's famous maple syrup. Stompy the Soccer Squirrel, with his famed nut-kicking skills and acorn-shaped soccer shoes, is the heart and soul of every soccer game. As the sun sets, the kids and Stompy would gather around the field, their faces glowing with the excitement of the game. Each of them, from the smallest tot to the tallest teen, would play their hearts out, their laughter as infectious as a yawn in a silent room. This wasn't just a game. It was a clash of wits, speed, and strategic nut-kicking. It was their own magical world where they could be anything - a goal scorer, a fearless defender, or even an acorn-shoed squirrel. And each day, as the sun made way for a star-strewn night, the soccer kids of Vermont, with Stompy leading the brigade, would head home, their hearts full of joy, their spirits undefeated, ready to do it all over again the next day.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
