South Carolina, a state as sweet as its peaches, where the beaches are golden and the tea is as sugary as fairy floss. The Palmetto trees sway to the rhythm of the seaside breeze, and the kids, they fence! The fencing kids, quirky as a raccoon riding a surfboard and braver than a rooster in a henhouse, they duel with determination, parry with pride, and lunge with laughter. Floyd, our protagonist, was as South Carolinian as shrimp and grits. He had a twinkle in his eye, a pocket full of peach pits, and a head filled with dreams of fencing glory. Whether it was at the beach, by the Blue Ridge Mountains, or in the bustling streets of Charleston, Floyd was always ready for a sword-fighting showdown. He would leap out of nowhere, brandishing his fencing foil like a knight, startling the seagulls and making the palm trees shiver in surprise. Welcome to the Spark PA programs and classes, a magical world of learning nestled on our beautiful 6-acre property in the charming town of Kunkletown, Pennsylvania. One of the highlights of our property is the Alappat Atelier, an incredible art studio where the celebrated artist Sebastian Alappat works. This is a place where creativity comes alive and children are always thrilled to step into this vibrant space. From massive fossilized dinosaur pieces to an entire section dedicated to Alice in Wonderland, and a fantastic collection of comic book art, there's plenty to ignite their imagination. The studio is well-equipped with all the necessary art supplies, spacious tables, and abundant natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We understand that comfort is essential for both kids and parents. That is why we've ensured that our facilities include a separate waiting area for parents, offering a space for you to relax while your child is busy exploring their creativity. For added convenience, there are also two restrooms on the premises and a picturesque outdoor sitting area where you can soak up the serene surroundings.
Foothills Fencing Academy has always put its members first. Through training, refereeing and coaching we have built a strong community of fencers, where we strive for success and also have lots of fun. Our members have achieved a wide range of accomplishments, from NCAA fencers to junior Olympians and regional champions. Not only do we offer some of the most competitive membership fees in the Southeast, but we also do not pressure our recreational fencers into competing so that we can charge them more. At Foothills Fencing Academy, students of any age or experience level can find the perfect environment to explore the sport. Our coaches are all certified by USA Fencing and have undergone extensive background checks. We also employ FOC-rated referees and a skilled armorer to provide the best fencing experience possible. Furthermore, our members have been involved in promoting the sport of fencing since 2008. We continue to strive and grow as a community, all for the love of the sport.
