Harry Hoot was a slightly round, incredibly jolly man, with a belly that shook like a bowl full of jelly when he laughed. And boy, did he love to laugh! He had a nose that was always red, not from cold, but because he was forever bouncing tennis balls off it! He believed that a good sense of humor could make you a great tennis player. These Rhode Island kids were quite a sight! They could serve, volley, and lob like pros, but that isn't what made them special.
