Once upon a time, in the teeny-tiny state of Rhode Island, a gang of kids known as the Volleyball Vipers ruled the sand and gym courts. Now, Rhode Island may not be the biggest state in the USA, but boy, oh boy, does it pack a punch! It's a gem jam-packed with golden sandy beaches, the freshest seafood you can imagine, and the friendliest people you could ever meet. The Volleyball Vipers were a unique bunch of kids, each with their own distinctive style and personality, but all shared an unquenchable passion for volleyball. They loved nothing more than a sun-soaked day spent rallying on the beach, the sand tickling their toes, and the salty sea breeze whipping their hair. Their leader was a tall, lanky fellow named Spike (because what else would you call a volleyball guru?). Spike had a nose that looked like it had been in a fight with a beach ball... and lost! But, that didn't matter because when it came to volleyball, Spike was an ace! The ball sizzled through the air like a speeding comet whenever he served, and his spikes? They were the stuff of legends. Then there was Digger, the scrappy, pint-sized dynamo of the team. She was as quick as a crab and could dig any ball out of the sand effortlessly. And let's not forget Blocker, the gentle giant whose towering height could block any spike. Their games were the perfect blend of laughter, friendly competition, and, most importantly, fun! The Volleyball Vipers weren't just a team; they were a family. In the smallest state of the vast country, they found the biggest friendships on the volleyball court. They played not just for the thrill of the game, but for the joy of spending time together, making every match a grand adventure.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
