Rhode Island, affectionally known as "Little Rhody," is a small state that packs a big punch! Imagine a land not much bigger than a pirate’s treasure map, where everything is only a hop, skip, and a jump away. With shimmering beaches to the south, hilly forests to the west, and bustling cities in between, Little Rhody is what you'd get if you shrunk an enormous state in a magical shrink machine. In this land of squished magnificence live a group of kids who love to get their hands dirty and their imaginations flying. These aren’t your ordinary run-of-the-mill kids, oh no! These are the Printmaking Pioneers of Rhode Island - and they’ve got ink in their veins and creativity in their hearts! Their leader, Inky Octavia, is an octopus with the funniest orange curly hair, eight artistic arms, and a knack for printmaking. Octavia is no ordinary octopus, mind you. She once used her inky squirt to create the first-ever underwater print! Now, she teaches our Rhode Island rascals everything about printmaking, from carving designs to inking plates, and of course, the exciting press and reveal. The printmaking kids of Rhode Island aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves, get their fingers sticky with ink, and dream up designs that can turn a frown upside down. They laugh at smudges, cheer at every new print, and dance with joy every time Inky Octavia squirts a new idea. So, if you ever find yourself in Little Rhody, watch out! These creative crusaders might just pull you into the fantastic mess of their printmaking universe!
