Once upon a time, in the charming state of Ohio, nestled between Lake Erie and the Appalachian Mountains, were spirited kids who loved nothing more than squishing and squashing blobs of clay. The Ohio clan, as they were fondly known, were a lively bunch, who every afternoon gathered at the town center to engage in their favorite pastime - Pottery! The leader of the Ohio Pottery gang was a jovially rotund fellow called Chubby Charlie. He was famous for his love of doughnuts, his contagious laughter, and of course, his uncanny talent for making everything and anything out of clay. Chubby Charlie was a wizard with clay, who could turn a lump of earth into a majestic eagle or a delicate butterfly in the blink of an eye. Every afternoon, a wild cacophony would fill the town center as the Ohio kids plunged their hands into piles of gooey clay, transforming them into masterpieces. Their clay creations ranged from wonky teapots that spewed tea from their bottoms to mischievous clay gnomes that seemed to change expressions when no one was looking. These Ohio youngsters loved their pottery so much that they would often end up going home with traces of clay behind their ears, in their hair, and sometimes even inside their shoes! But they didn’t mind, because in Ohio, being covered in clay was a badge of honor. As Chubby Charlie would say, “You ain’t a true Ohioan unless you've got clay under your nails!" And with a hearty laugh, they would all dive back into their clay, shaping and molding, in the heart of the wonderful, clay-tastic state of Ohio.
