Bebop is a real fan of these kids - the New York Songbirds, he calls them. The Songbirds are an amazing bunch of chirpers, warblers, and crooners. They're as diverse as the city they live in, singing songs that range from Broadway show tunes to hip-hop, folk to pop, and everything in between. They might be the next Beyonce, Billy Joel, or Barbara Streisand, who knows? Bebop once told me about a girl from Manhattan who could hold a note longer than a Broadway star during her encore. Then there was that boy from the Bronx whose rapid-fire rap was quicker than a chili pepper's sprint. And let's not forget the kid from Queens who could mimic any pop-star's voice, making listeners do a double-take on their radios! Whether they're singing in school plays, church choirs, or even the shower, these kids have got the rhythm of the city in their souls and the melodies of the universe on their tongues. They fill the streets of NY with their harmonious tunes, making the Big Apple even more enchanting. So, kids, if you ever find yourself in New York, keep an ear out for the Songbirds. The US Engineering League is a prominent nationwide establishment that passionately supports STEM-focused education. Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. At our non-profit children's camp, we strive to provide a safe and welcoming space for kids to experience the joys of summer camp. We are committed to openness, hospitality, and compassionate Christianity, and our campers, volunteers, and staff come from diverse backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. Additionally, our camp offers on-site retreats and facilities for private rentals. All income generated will go toward providing camp experiences for children who could not otherwise afford it. Since 1989, Gate Hill has been a part of the Male family. Josh, Bob, and Jennifer, the camp directors emeritus, have been overseeing the daily operations of the camp and providing supervision to both staff and campers. However, the word “family” extends beyond the Male family, with campers, parents, and staff all part of the Gate Hill family. We want to ensure that our campers have a fulfilling experience, so we provide parents with updates on their child’s progress, friendships, and stories that make them smile. We are also available to answer any questions that parents may have to make sure their child has the best possible camp experience.
Harlem School of the Arts has been dedicated to providing creative and interdisciplinary education for over half a century. For 5,000 students, this global curriculum offers musical, dance, theatrical, visual art, and design disciplines, all under the guidance of world-class faculty and master teachers. HSA understands the importance of creating a strong sense of community, which is inspired by the diverse and rich history of Harlem. The school is committed to providing equitable access to all their programs, with the majority of their students being African American or Latino, and half of them receiving some form of financial assistance. At Harlem School of the Arts, students are exposed to a wide range of artistic disciplines, with world-class instructors and master teachers to guide them. This interdisciplinary education has been offered for over half a century, with 5,000 students currently enrolled.
