About Camp Monroe

At Monroe Camp and Retreat Center (MCRC), located in Laurel Hill, North Carolina, we strive to provide an atmosphere where families can spend quality time together connecting with God, each other, and nature. Founded in 1954, our mission is to invite people to a place and time apart to discover Christ’s call to discipleship, as well as to nurture relationships with God, others, and creation. At MCRC, we believe in responding to God’s love with our own love and faith. We strive to create an environment where families can come together to grow in their understanding of God’s word and build a strong foundation of faith. We offer a variety of activities, from outdoor adventures to Bible study meetings, to help families discover and explore their faith. We invite you and your family to come and experience all that MCRC has to offer. With a strong commitment to providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere, we strive to create a place where you can take time away from your everyday life and focus on strengthening your family’s relationship with God. Summer Program
Camp Monroe provides a place where campers have FUN, are ADVENTUROUS, UNPLUG, and CONNECT with each other to discover strengths, forge friendships, deepen relationships, complete challenges, and create lifelong memories! Camps are fun-filled and action-packed yet allow campers to experience the stillness and beauty of nature.

CIT Program Ages 15-17
2 Week Counselor in Training (CIT) Sessions are intended as a learning opportunity for campers interested in being staff in the future. CIT’s shadow our summer staff for a week, then in the second week, take more of a lead. Enjoy being at camp and making an impact in the lives of campers.
