About Evelyn Street Day School

Our philosophy is to meet children where they are developmentally, and then help them get to where they need to go. We offer individualized guidance to each child and strive to make their experience meaningful. We value each child’s unique learning style and create engaging activities that foster a lifelong love of books and learning. At our school, we are committed to providing a developmentally appropriate experience that prepares children for the years ahead. We believe in making the most of the critical learning period between birth and five years of age, as this time is essential to a child’s growth and development. Our approach to teaching literacy to our youngest children is balanced and comprehensive. We use a variety of methods to teach literacy, such as reading aloud, teaching mini-lessons, using books, puppets, games, role-playing, toys, and more. Infant Daycare Program

Our Youngest Learners program provides infants of up to 12-months of age with a nurturing and engaging environment where they can grow and flourish. The program is designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Our program includes organic and all natural lunches and snacks, organic fruit and organic milk once a child begins eating solids plus two specials: Spanish (daily) and Music (once a week).

Toddler Preschool / Daycare Program

Our Little Explorers program for children ages one to two encourages exploration and independence in a safe and nurturing environment. The curriculum, which fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development, meets the changing needs of the developing child. Tuition includes organic and all natural lunches and snacks, organic fruit and organic milk plus four specials a week for walkers and older: Dance, Spanish, Sign Language and Music.

2-Year-Old Preschool Program

Our Inquisitive Investigators program provides children ages two to three with a fun-filled and positive education experience in a safe, secure and loving environment. We strive to make learning fun! The program reinforces language development, school readiness, fine and gross motor skills, and cognitive ability. Tuition includes organic and all natural lunches and snacks, organic fruit and organic milk plus four specials a week: Dance, Spanish, Sign Language and Music.
