Since opening its doors five decades ago, the North Brunswick School of Music on North Main Street in Milltown has experienced plenty of changes when it comes to the community’s interest in learning music. Kids and adults do not have their faces buried in the screens of computers and smartphones, but are eager to learn how to play The Beatles on guitar or hear themselves create the blare of a saxophone.

Piano Program
Very few things speak as profoundly as a well played piano. Whether you have never sat in front of a piano before but have always wanted to try it or you have been playing for years and would like to learn some fresh techniques or enhance your music theory, our classes can be custom tailored to meet your level of play. One-on-One classes cover everything you need to confidently play the piano, from proper posture and hand positioning, to reading/writing music, proceed at your own pace with professional guidance from our instructors.

Guitar Program
Rock, Blues, Jazz, whatever your taste is, you will learn everything you need to know about guitars in our Guitar Program. All you need to do is bring your desire to learn, we will take care of the rest, and even provide you with a guitar to use during your lessons. Instructors will cover everything from the basics (like how to properly hold the guitar and bend your fingers) to slowly introducing more complex techniques. From single notes to scales, from strumming a few chords to shredding your way through any song imaginable, come in and let us help you start your musical journey.

We offer drum lessons for all level of players... from beginners to advanced, and for all age groups. Get behind our drum kit and start learning how to play the drums. Private lessons will introduce students to drum fills and solos and offer the more advanced students the opportunity to perfect their skills.
