Once upon a time, in the bite-sized state of New Jersey, there lived a bunch of water-walloping kids who loved snorkeling more than anything else in the world. They were as wiggly as an eel in a bucket of jelly and as happy as clams at high water. From Cape May to Sandy Hook, these little aqua adventurers ruled the waves, flippers flying and snorkels spouting. The children of New Jersey, or the 'Jersey Nemo Squad', as they liked to call themselves, were led by their fearless captain, a cool imaginary character named Bubbles McFlippers. Bubbles, with his underwater superhero cape and a snorkel that could shoot out streams of rainbow bubbles, knew every nook and cranny of the Jersey shore like the back of his fin. Bubbles McFlippers would guide the Jersey Nemo Squad through the underwater forests of kelp and coral, pointing out the starfish lounging in the sun and the crabs playing hide and seek. He'd tell stories about the ancient sea turtles who'd seen the state of New Jersey grow from a tiny acorn into the bustling hubbub that it is today. Every time a new kid moved to New Jersey, Bubbles McFlippers would appear from the waves, grinning like a seal and asking, "Do you snorkel?" If the answer was no, Bubbles would give a hearty laugh that sounded like a dolphin playing a tuba. "Well, you're about to!" he'd say, and another member would be added to the Jersey Nemo Squad. Thus, the children of New Jersey became the legendary snorkeling kings and queens of the sea, living their best splashy life under the watchful eye of the coolest underwater hero, Bubbles McFlippers!
