About Order My Steps, Christian Dance Company

At Order My Steps, we recognize the importance of teaching our students through the lens of faith. We are dedicated to helping each student grow in their understanding and appreciation of worship as a lifestyle and dance as a form of praise to the Lord. We create a safe and nurturing environment where students can explore and develop their technique and artistic expression, while being equipped with a biblical foundation in dance. Our classes are designed to build community spirit and instill the values of respect and encouragement, with no room for competition. Through our work, we are helping to shape the next generation of dancers, who will use their gifts to serve and bring hope to their communities.

Creative Movement/Pre Ballet (3-6)
Creative Movement combines improve and imagery. Designed to be an introduction to movement students will be introduced to the fundamental steps of tap and ballet. The goal is to allow students to build confidence and skill in a warm and nurturing environment while they refine their fine motor skills and kinesthetic awareness.

Ballet (I, II, III, & Pointe)
is comprised of beginner and intermediate ballet students. The class structure will consist of a barre, center floor, and across the floor work. Proper body alignment, execution of steps and terminology will be stressed. In addition, they will work on jumps, and connecting steps through a variety of exercises.

Hip- Hop Fusion (I, II, III)
Hip Hop is a blend of various styles incorporating the use of isolation, time, energy, and space to create a unique movement quality. Our desire to reclaim this art form for the glory of God with steps and choreography that is edify to the dancer and the audience. Full of high energy this class begins with a cardio warm-up to develop strength, flexibility, correct alignment and coordination, followed by progressions across the floor, and culminates in extended dance combinations.
