He tackled every bout with a grin that outshone the gleam of his sword, making his opponents chuckle mid-parry. JJ and his band of fencing enthusiasts were incredibly skilled, each bringing their own unique style to the piste. Daisy from Durham could disarm anyone with her swift strikes, while Raleigh's Roger was renowned for his remarkable reach. Charlotte's Charlie was a nimble ninja on his toes, and Mayberry's Molly was famous for her magical feints. Together, they filled the fencing halls of North Carolina with the delightful clatter of clashing foils and the infectious laughter of friendship. These kids, with their dreams as big as the Carolina sky, conquered the world of fencing, one cheeky parry, hilarious riposte, and belly laugh at a time.
