About Camp Monroe

At MCRC, we believe that responding to God’s love is a mission that should be shared with others. We provide a place and time apart from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where individuals and groups can come to build relationships with God, each other, and creation. We also strive to help people discover Christ’s call to discipleship and to experience his love in tangible ways. Our dedicated staff works hard to provide a safe and nurturing environment where all are welcome. Come join us and be a part of our mission!

Day Camps
Younger campers have a better camp experience if they have been involved in a kindergarten environment before attending camp. During June and July, Camp Monroe comes alive with summer camps. Campers participate in outdoor adventures, unplug from their electronics, and connect with each other. Although campers are tired at the end of day, they don’t want to leave … and they want to come back again and again because of the relationships and community they find at Camp Monroe.

Overnight Camps
Campers are in cabin groups by age/grade and biological gender for activities, Bible study, and recreation; then come together for large groups games, worship, and meals. Camp Monroe makes it a priority for camp staff to actively engage each camper and create a fun and safe environment. They listen with understanding and get to know each camper, encourage them, and provide them with positive role models. In fact, many campers are greeted by name year after year by returning counselors.

Community Camp
Community Camp is a weeklong unique blend of outdoor ministries and congregation ministries. It is a joint effort between Camp Monroe and your Church. Camp Monroe will provide staff, activities, programming, art supplies, game equipment, and Bible Study curriculum. The Church will provide the location for the Community Camp to use to get kids in the Church. The curriculum is provided by Camp Monroe, we strive to choose one that is Christ-centered. Our staff is trained to interact with different age groups.
