At BDTS, we strive to create an atmosphere of encouragement and support. Our teachers are passionate about helping each student reach their fullest potential, giving clear and kind corrections, and fostering a love for the art of dance. We focus on building self-confidence, strength, and grace in each of our classes, and emphasize the joy of movement. Our classes provide children with a safe, non-competitive environment where they can express themselves creatively. BDTS is dedicated to providing students with a high-quality, developmentally appropriate theatre education as well. Our theatre classes are designed to help students develop essential skills such as public speaking, problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. We focus on creating an environment that is both fun and challenging, encouraging students to take risks and explore their creativity. Our teachers are experienced in helping students find their voice, build self-confidence, and develop their performance skills. We strive to instill a passion for the theatre arts in each of our students.

Preschool Dance Classes

Dance classes offer so much more than just learning new steps! Dancers learn valuable lessons in confidence, patience and perseverance, as well as how to pay attention and work with others. At BDTS we believe the dance studio should be a place where even our youngest students learn how to face new challenges and exercise their whole selves without forgetting the need to have a lot of fun in class! ​

Boys at BDTS

We encourage boys of every age to participate in dance classes. Many people will cite dance as a way to improve balance, flexibility and strength as a benefit to boys playing other sports. These benefits are real, but we don't discount dance as its own athletic and artistic pursuit. Boys benefit, as all our students do, from our approach to dance training that encompasses the whole student. We work with them to learn patience, communication skills, cooperation, and creativity, as well as to refine their techniques and strengthen their bodies.

Musical Theatre

BDTS is proud to offer a musical theatre program that provides dedicated vocal, dance and acting training, as well as performance opportunities for every student. Students new to BDTS with previous experience may be placed by age, or arrange an audition to be placed in the appropriate level.
