About Studio 1

At Studio 1, located in Holly Hill Mall in Burlington, North Carolina, we offer a unique performing arts experience. Our 100-seat black box theater provides an intimate setting for performers of all ages, interests, and experience levels. Not only do we provide performance opportunities, but we also offer classes and outreach to help hone skills and inspire creativity. We believe that everyone can be different together, and we embrace and celebrate those differences. We are committed to creating an environment that is safe and welcoming for all, as well as to serving the community by providing opportunities for growth. Jr. Show Choir
Classes run the week of January 30th thru the week of April 24th no classes week of 4/9. Jr. Show Choir – Wednesdays 4:30-5:15 pm. Suggested for K-1st grade

Musical Theatre Dance
Musical Theatre Dance – Thursdays 6:00-6:45 pm. Classes run the week of January 30th thru the week of April 24th no classes the week of 4/9. Suggested 8th grade and up

Tech Camp
Work along side the Matilda Jr. counselors and learn about everything that goes on behind the scenes in a theatre production including lights, sounds, props and much more! Then you will help design and run the technical side of the performances!

Little Fish Camp
Don’t miss the chance for your little actors to get involved early! Our Little Fish Camp is June 26 – June 30 and is for ages 5-6. 10:00 AM – noon Monday through Friday. $125 (no charge for the final performance on Friday at noon). Price includes snacks and craft supplies. The campers will work on performance of 2 songs and use the crafts they create as props in the songs. They will be introduced to simple improv, body focus, creativity, memorization, and fun! This is a great way to get your child on stage in a low risk, fun, safe way, and to introduce them to the theatre setting.
