About Roots Early Childhood Education

Our teachers are dedicated to creating a learning environment where each child can grow in confidence and feel supported as they take on new challenges, discover their passions, and become independent, self-reliant learners. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where our students can explore their unique gifts, develop their curiosities, and learn to celebrate the successes and challenges that come their way. FULL DAY SUMMER CAMP
Kids aged 4.5 to 9 years Join Roots at Hopsfield Farm this summer for KIND Adventure Camp. KIND programming aims to get Kids In Nature Daily while also supporting their inherent need to explore, experiment, and find connection with both peers and place. In the spirit of Roots, our program will offer a balance between ample time to drop in, play and explore the 30 acres of field, farm, and forest at Hopsfield and structured experiential activities designed to introduce campers to caring and cultivating for the land, themselves, and each other. Kind Adventure Camp was created with children 5 to 9yo in mind and will meet Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm.

HALF DAY SUMMER CAMP
Kids aged 5 to 9 Join Roots Elementary Teachers, Emily Adour and Jaclyn Gallo for Adventures in Literature - a half day literacy focused play-based and child-centered summer camp designed to introduce your child to different genres of books while having fun in the sun! We will read, create, explore and move while outdoors. In the spirit of Roots, Adventures in Literature will provide your child with ample opportunity to PLAY + CONNECT with friends - old and new - while also being introduced to a variety of stories in an effort to inspire a love of reading for years to come.

PRESCHOOL SUMMER CAMP
For Kids Ages 3 to 5 Years Join Roots Mindful Minis Teacher, Kelly Raffaele, and Family Play Therapist, Nikki Betts, for Messy Art + Movement - a partial day play-based and child-centered summer camp created to embrace your WHOLE child. Through art and movement your child will be given the space to take risks, explore friendships, and most importantly, TO BE their unique, fabulous, and MESSY self. Our time together will consist of an initial welcome, play based art and movement designed to invite all of your child’s senses to the party, ample outdoor time, snack and lunch!
