About Worcester Music Academy

At the Worcester Music Academy, music education is accessible to everyone. Established in July 2010 by Sarah Kelly, the Academy seeks to fill the gap in music education that traditional schools often leave behind. Ms. Kelly, an avid music enthusiast, was passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment for people of all ages and abilities to learn and grow in music. Studies have found that music can positively impact cognitive and academic development. Unfortunately, music is often the first program to be cut when budgets become tight. The Academy seeks to provide a place for people of all ages to learn, create, and explore music, and to foster a lifelong love of music. With its diverse and talented faculty, the Worcester Music Academy offers a variety of music programs designed to ignite creativity in students of all levels.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Lessons are available for children ages 4+ and adults. We encourage you to talk with us about private lessons if you have young children so we can guide you in the right direction. All skill levels are welcome. One free trial lesson is available for those who are seriously interested in lessons (a credit card number is required to set up the trial and will only be charged if you do not show up for the lesson).

Circle Time for Toddlers

Join us for our weekly online Circle Time class for Toddlers and Pre-schoolers. In this 30-minute class we will sing songs, explore music with hand movements, and make music with hand instruments (or whatever you have handy at home that makes noise!). Class is free, but registration is required so we can send out a Zoom link for the class. Once registered, you do not need to register again as the Zoom link will remain the same for each week. Please have a small hand instrument or anything that makes noise on hand for the class each week.

SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAMS

We are happy to continue offering in-person and online lessons. We offer flexible lesson options during the summer. Just let us know which weeks you will be here when you register so our faculty can plan accordingly. You can register for lessons at any time. Some of our faculty are away during the summer. If you are a returning student and your teacher is away, we will place you with a different teacher for the summer session.
