He led his fun brigade of tennis champs who were all unique and quirky in their own way. There was "Slamming Sammy," who could spin a tennis racket on his finger while doing a handstand; "Jumping Jilly," who could leap over the tennis net in a single bound, and "Lobbing Larry," who could lob a tennis ball straight into a bucket sitting twenty yards away. They all had one thing in common - a love for tennis that was as deep as the Atlantic Ocean, bordering their beautiful state. The tennis courts in MA were their kingdom, and they ruled it with their laughter, cheers, and, of course, their fantastic tennis moves. They believed that the tennis ball was like the sun, setting in their opponents' court and rising in theirs. Introducing the Winchester Indoor Lawn Tennis Center, the first of its kind in New England! Established in 1965, we have been providing families with a clean, fun, and safe environment for all to enjoy. Our facility offers court time that can be booked in 30-minute increments for day off or up to a week in advance, depending on availability. For those looking for more serious play, we offer weekly reservations on a contract basis for a 34-week season. Our facility offers more than just court time, however. We provide junior and adult clinics, as well as private, semi-private, and group lessons taught by our 12 professional instructors. Larger adult and children’s clinics are also available in four to eight-week sessions throughout the year.
