Learning through Play
Play through the use of manipulatives and sensory objects is very important in the development of the child. At Neighborhood Family Child Care we believe in letting children explore and learn through many types of many fine motor skills activities. Letting a child play this way develops and refine their cognitive, social and emotional, physical, creative, and linguistic skill sets.

Finger Painting
They learn how to mix colors. Children can express their feelings without words. It helps to strengthen their hands. Although it is great for all ages, it is easier for younger children that are not capable of holding a paintbrush.

Playdough has always been a childhood favorite activity. Rolling and cutting the dough, making objects nd the smell is something all children love.
