About Roots Learning Center

Our safe and secure environment allows children to explore and grow independently while building positive self-image. We provide developmentally appropriate activities that encourage children to be active learners and explore their own potential. Social development is a major focus at Roots Learning Center. We want children to get the most out of their interactions with others and understand the importance of sharing, taking turns and playing well with others. Our well-educated and dedicated staff guides, models and supports children in their learning process. We provide a positive and nurturing environment that encourages children to explore and learn through play.

RLC Infant Program

Your baby will develop and learn more in his/her first year of life than at any other point. Each moment is intentionally planned in Roots Infant Porgram to ensure your baby will make the most of this period of rapid cognitive, emotional, and physical growth. Ratios in the infant room are 1 teacher to 3 infants. Between the ages of 12 and 15 months old, our child will begin the transition into the toddler room. Depending on development, your child may transition as early as 10 months old. The transition is done slowly to provide enough time for your child to become familiar with his new surroundings. Teachers and parents will work together to make the transition as easy as possiblefor the child.

RLC Toddler Program

Your toddler is going to change from a baby to a preschooler in a short amount of time. He/She is gaining (and asserting!) independence through milestones such as first steps, first words, drinking out of a cup, and potty training. Roots will be your partner in supporting this growth.

RLC Preschool Program

As a preschooler, your child is capable of increasingly complex tasks, learning and thinking. RLC's preschool classrooms will prepare your child to enter kindergarten ready to learn and ready to succeed. Our curriculum includes theme based units incorporating language, pre-reading, pre-writing, math, science, motor skills and social development in hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities. Your child will be provided with a wide range of materials and toys to help spark and encourage their imagination and creativity.
