About Velocity Martial Arts

Velocity Martial Arts & Fitness is a family-friendly environment dedicated to helping individuals grow through martial arts and fitness. Our programs are designed for children, teens, and adults. We offer in-studio classes in partnership with Seishin Martial Arts & Sport Karate, an award-winning organization that has specialized in youth martial arts training since 2000. We also provide remote instruction and a variety of enrichment and outsourced services to keep our students motivated and engaged. At Velocity Martial Arts & Fitness we are passionate about helping individuals of all ages develop the skills and confidence to reach their highest potential. Our experienced instructors are committed to providing a safe, fun, and challenging environment for everyone. Enrichment Programs
Velocity operates a wide variety of specialized programs for private schools, community outreach, camp programs, corporate wellness, fitness centers, colleges, and universities.

Youth Program
Our specialized program includes physical fitness training and character development through the martial arts. The classes are designed to enhance a student’s cardiovascular training as well as their muscular development through various karate related games, activities, and techniques. Instructors will talk with students and have them define and give examples of different things like etiquette, dealing with peer pressure, and staying organized. Classes often include a warm-up activity which teaches students about the different forms of exercise and their purposes. The majority of the class is spent working on the student’s belt curriculum in which they are expected to remember new techniques and perform at a progressively higher level from class-to-class.

ADULT PROGRAM
The program consists a two-part curriculum of Kenpo (traditional/classic martial arts) and Sport Karate (Modern Training & Athletics). Kenpo is a combination of Chinese and Japanese martial arts originating in Okinawa as Kajukenbo later evolving in the Hawaiian Islands as Kenpo. Kenpo’s primary focus is on self-defense whereas Sport Karate is the athletic and competitive side of the martial arts including but not limited to point sparring, weapons training, and forms (kata). Curriculum also includes but is not limited to elements of the following martial arts system Japanese Jujutsu, Aikido, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Capoeira, and Kung Fu.
