About Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield

At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield, every year nearly 3,000 youth aged 5 to 18 come through our doors seeking stability, consistency, and safety. Our program is designed to be fun and engaging, while also helping to develop skills and confidence for a successful future. Since opening in 1973, we have served generations of children and families in the local community and across Greater Boston. Our members come from diverse economic, social and family backgrounds, and we are proud to provide fun experiences and educational programming to over 3,000 young people after school and during the summer. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield is an affiliate of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the nation’s leading youth development organization. We are honored to be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for our members, and to help them achieve their full potential.

Special Olympics Young Athletes Program
Stoneham/Wakefield – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield is excited to announce its Young Athletes program, in collaboration with the Special Olympics of Massachusetts. Special Olympics Young Athletes™ is a unique sport and play program for children with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities, and features fun activities that are important to mental and physical growth. Through the program, local children between the ages of two and seven will be introduced to games and activities designed to develop hand-eye coordination and aid in motor skill development areas such as running, jumping, balancing, kicking, catching, and throwing.
