About Art School 99

At Art School 99, we strive to create a supportive atmosphere so that each student can reach their creative potential. Our classes are designed to help you tap into your creativity, whether it be through readings, movies, collage, or discussions. To further inspire your artistic journey, we will also offer Russian tea and French wine during our salon-style sessions.

OPEN STUDIO
Come to explore, unfold or push further your artistic talent, whether you are a beginner or an advanced student. All levels are welcome. Art materials are provided for an extra fee. If you are a beginner it may be a better choice.

OBSERVATION DRAWING and DRAWING
In this class, we will cover all the basics: composition, perspective, shading, different materials. Are you afraid of drawing? Do not be! In this class, we will teach you the basic shapes required to draw objects, spaces, and figures. Once you get the basic shapes down you can then work on advancing your images. Break the line! Drawing is not so hard once you understand its logic and can relate to it. Bring 11 x 14" or 12x16" at least 60 lb drawing pad to the first class. You will also need an 8x10" hardcover sketchbook.

ART LAB 1
A class for beginners that starts with the basics of composition, color theory, and discovery of your very own creative process. Please bring a 6x8" sketchbook to the first class. A list of art materials will be provided or can be paid $5 per lesson.
