About Smith School of Dance

At Smith School of Dance, our mission is to provide a safe, high-quality studio environment for children to learn and appreciate the art of dance. Our instructors are passionate about helping young dancers develop into confident performers. We believe that progress is a personal journey, and we measure success by how much our dancers improve each day—not by comparing their progress to that of their peers. Our studio also strives to create a community atmosphere that celebrates the uniqueness of each individual dancer. Our instructors are dedicated to nurturing each student’s talents and helping them reach their full potential. At Smith School of Dance, we create an atmosphere of acceptance and growth that encourages our dancers to explore their creative potential. Our instructors strive to help each student become the best dancer they can be, while providing a safe, high-quality studio environment. We are passionate about inspiring our students to reach their goals and instilling a lifelong love of dance.

Creative Movement Ages 1 - 2
This class allows young children to learn basic skills to help strengthen their physical development, social skills, and coordination.

Ballet
Ballet is the basic foundation of all dance forms and will improve strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Ballet is strongly recommended for all dancers to take in addition to other techniques.

Jazz
Jazz Class incorporates the elements of Ballet, Hip Hop and Lyrical dance set to popular music and includes stretches, isolations, turns, jumps, leaps and choreographed combinations as well as the development of style.
