About The Glass Bar

Once upon a time, I had the opportunity to dabble in the field of secondary education while I was in college. I graduated with a degree in English, but I was able to gain invaluable knowledge about teaching during my studies. I learned that different students learn in different ways—some are more visual learners, while others learn better through auditory means. To ensure that all my students can get the most out of my classes, I have carefully crafted my teaching style to accommodate all of their individual needs. Glass art is a new art form to many young students, and I'm here to challenge each one of them to unlock their inner artist and create something truly amazing. I'm sure that with the right guidance and a bit of practice, they'll be able to create art pieces that they can be proud of.

Dichroic Glass
Saturday Afternoons Our Dichroic Glass Classes are perfect for everyone form ages 10 and up! In addition to cutting, everyone will learn the basics of working with dichroic glass to create a beautiful piece of jewelry.

Glass Fusing
Saturday Mornings, Vacation Weeks, Holidays & Half Days Each session will begin with a thorough glass safety lesson. Then, students will learn basic glass fusing techniques such as cutting and grinding of glass and working with frit. Students will each receive a 4x4 glass base tile that they will design to their liking.

After School Sessions
After School Sessions Weekday Afternoons ​We're going to cover a lot during this session. Our first session will cover basic skills such as cutting, grinding, and designing. Each week, we will learn and incorporate new techniques into our designs. Students have the option of creating a few smaller projects each using a different technique, or one larger piece using all
