About Deane School of Dance and Theater

step. Our teachers are dedicated to teaching proper fundamentals in dance discipline, as well as an appreciation of dance as a fine art. At The Deane School of Dance, we believe dance has the power to improve physical and cultural development of our students. We offer a variety of classes to help foster a love for dancing and build important skills. Our instructors are passionate about helping our students discover the joy of dance and explore all the disciplines we offer: ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and contemporary. We strive to instill a good foundation in each student while still having fun and developing a lifelong appreciation of the art of dance.

Programs

Pre-School dance classes (3 1/2 – 5 years)
Pre-ballet, simple acrobatics, songs, creative movement, games, and tap for coordination and rhythm

Beginner level(Ages 6-9)
includes basic positions, proper ballet technique and movements, combinations which develop coordination and rhythm in the younger dancer

Advanced level(Ages 14-18)
ncludes more advanced movements and technique than intermediate level. Regular pointe classes are given
