About Metrowest Kung Fu

By focusing on each student’s individual progress, we build a sense of community and camaraderie. At Metrowest Kung Fu, we believe in the importance of traditional martial arts for our students and our community. Our instruction helps students develop an approach to life's problems, struggles, and gifts, thereby helping them find their place in today's demanding and media-saturated world. Kung Fu is not a team sport; rather, it challenges each student to work on their individual strengths and weaknesses, both mentally, physically, and emotionally. By focusing on each student's progress, we foster a strong sense of community and camaraderie.

Kids Kung Fu
Through the conditioning of our body, we discipline our mind and gain a greater understanding of ourselves. By understanding ourselves, we learn to live in harmony with our emotions and our environment. This cultivation of the whole being gives us the serenity to carry out our life tasks.

Tai Chi
Many find its pursuit of natural relaxation effective in stress-relief. Martial arts students often augment their training with Tai Chi to increase their understanding of body mechanics and energy transfer, making them more solidly-rooted, effective fighters.

Our yoga classes are relaxed and accessible to students of any level. Our instructors guide students through asanas that stress body awareness, often providing gentle adjustments to fit students’ individual needs. Our classes encourage students to learn to listen to their bodies, while improving flexibility and strength.
