About Mother Brook Arts & Community Center

Parents of Dedham can now be proud of the town's leadership in the arts. MBACC, the first and only community-wide, multigenerational, large-scale art project in Dedham, is a catalyst for revitalization, enrichment, and economic development. With its indoor and outdoor gathering space, regularly scheduled performances and events, leased studio space for 35 artists, modern 10-wheel ceramics studio, and fully-equipped silversmithing studio, MBACC is a great place for parents and children in Dedham and the surrounding towns to come together and appreciate the arts. Additionally, MBACC's affordable arts education program provides an opportunity for kids and families to explore and learn about visual and performing arts in a supportive and creative environment.

Ceramics: Make a Set
Inspired by Nature Use plant and floral themes to paint or sculpt details onto handmade clay pieces! Kids will paint glaze onto all their works and pick up will be scheduled for a later date after firing. The class will take a daily 20min break for a quick walk and snack. Please pack a portable snack each day that the kids can eat on the walking path behind Mother Brook.

Ceramics: Plaster Workshop
Students will learn to mix and cast plaster to make unique one-piece hump, slump, and press molds to use in their individual clay work.
