About Lighthouse Early Learning Center

At Lighthouse Early Learning Center, we strive to provide a safe, wholesome environment for children to grow and learn. Our Christian values form the basis for this nurturing atmosphere, which encourages social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. We are committed to offering our services to kids and families of all backgrounds, without discrimination due to race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability. Our curriculum is tailored to each child’s individual developmental needs. We offer activities such as songs, finger-plays, creative art, dramatic play, and large and small muscle activities to help children learn and explore. Our program also includes exposure to shapes, colors, numbers, letters, science experiments, technology, and nature activities, as well as special events for birthdays and holidays.

Programs

The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.

Infant Program
The infant program is designed to help your child meet his/her developmental milestones. Our staff works with each family to make sure the children are developing properly. In our two infant class rooms we nurture children from the age of 8 weeks to 15 months of age. The teacher to infant ratio is 1:3 and 2:7. Therefore, in one room we will have only 7 infants or less.

Toddler Program
Although we follow the EEC’s definition of “Toddlers” as being children between the age of 1y3m and 2y9m, we have subdivided our room to better meet the needs of our younger toddlers who just learned to walk and our older toddlers who will move on to preschool soon. The teacher to toddler ratio is 1:4 and 2:9. However, due to the size of the room, we will not have more than 15 children in this group.

Preschool Program
Although we follow the EEC’s definition of “Preschoolers” as being children between the age of 2y9m and 5y, we have divided our group into two classes: PS1 (2y9m – 4y) and PS2 (4y – 5+y), especially during circle-time and their projects. Sometimes they combine in the afternoons to play together before pick-up time.
