About Franklin Park Zoo

At Zoo New England, their mission is to inspire people to protect and sustain the natural world for future generations. They do this by creating fun and engaging experiences that integrate wildlife, conservation programs, research and education. The Zoo is a 72-acre site nestled in Boston’s historic Franklin Park, and has been managed by the City of Boston, the Metropolitan District Commission, and the Commonwealth Zoological Corporation since 1912. They continue to strive to offer engaging activities that will help children learn about wildlife and conservation.

STONE ZOO EDZOOCATION PROGRAMS
These programs are offered to children ages 7-10. Taught by Zoo educators, classes include hands-on activities, discussion, animal encounters and behind-the-scenes experiences. Each program includes progressive program topics focused on teaching students about animals and their interactions within their ecosystems.

SUMMER ZOOCAMP
Tap into your wild side and learn about animals while spending summer days at the Zoo! Campers will explore the Zoo, learning about animals from all over the world and even meeting some up-close to discover their unique adaptations. Zoo educators will lead campers through an adventurous week of learning about their favorite animals, engaging in hands-on activities, playing animal-related games, and making crafts. Whether you're already an animal expert or interested in becoming one, this camp is for you!
