Beverly Children's Learning

Our Infant and Toddler programs offer on-site care and education for children from one month of age to 2 years, nine months in the small setting of our safe, stimulating, and welcoming classrooms. The staff consists of warm and caring educators who are dedicated to providing the children in their care with the individualized attention they need to thrive and grow as they learn new skills, such as fostering their increasing levels of independence, motor development, social competence, language acquisition, and cognitive abilities. Utilizing GOLD Teaching Strategies Assessment, the educators document the development of skills and growth, along with continuing goals for each individual child, which are shared with families on a regular basis. A healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided each day.

Our Preschool offers a variety of educational and social activities for children ages two years, nine months through five years. Our educators provide individualized learning experiences in a structured classroom environment with consistent routines, while still offering unlimited opportunities for creativity and learning through play. A comprehensive spectrum of subjects are introduced such as social/emotional confidence, language, literacy, fine and large motor, math, engineering, technology and science skills, as well as ongoing exposure to art, music, health, nutrition, educational enrichment excursions, and physical education, implemented through the Creative Curriculum, Second Step, and Kid Fit programs. Utilizing GOLD Teaching Strategies Assessment, the educators document the development of skills and growth, along with continuing goals for each individual child, which are shared with families on a regular basis. A healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided each day.

Our School Age Child Care program provides quality care to children kindergarten age through thirteen years. The program, designed to provide after school care for elementary school children, allows a seamless transition from the Beverly Public Schools through our own transportation services. Students are escorted via our bus or vans by a School Age group leader from their elementary school location to BCLC. The program is also open on early school release days, school vacations and school service closure days, as well as full time from 7am to 6pm during summer vacation months. Our School Age program is exceptional due to the high level of supervision, low student to staff ratios, and open communication between staff and families. The focus of the After School program is to provide enrichment activities through a variety of venues, such as weekly interest clubs, physical engagement, socialization opportunities, homework assistance as needed, and off-site educational excursions. Families are provided with regular progress reports on their children, which track their progress and ongoing goals. The program provides a full dinner on after school days, and breakfast, lunch and snack on full days of attendance. Our meals are made on site and comply with the USDA nutrition requirements.

Our Family Child Care program provides the comfort of a home setting with up to six children under the supervision of our Massachusetts Department of early Education and Care licensed family child care providers. Children enrolled may be six weeks of age to five years old. Our providers receive ongoing support, training, resources, and regular supervision visits from our administrative staff. Each home provides a variety of educational toys, games, and curriculum activities to introduce children to a wide range of learning experiences. Skills are developed through the use of manipulatives, music, expressive art opportunities, creative movement, fine and large motor activities, socialization, engineering, math, science, technology, language and literacy concepts. Our family Child Care providers strive to offer an enjoyable daily schedule for children in a small group setting, which allows for optimal individualized attention. A healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided each day. We currently have providers located in the communities of Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, and Gloucester.
