A Step Ahead

Let me start by thanking you for visiting A Step Ahead Family Child Care Center! We are a child centered program placing emphasis on the needs of each child as an individual. We will strive to help each child develop at his/her own pace in an environment set to encourage active learning, creativity, and positive self-esteem. A Step Ahead is a unique program in that it provides the loving home atmosphere of a family day care while providing an exciting and innovative curriculum created by an experienced preschool/ kindergarten teacher. This curriculum is theme based and includes many varieties of hands-on learning for the children. Computers are used daily to both enhance the curriculum and to allow the children to incorporate computers into their daily lives while becoming proficient in basic computer skills. Children will learn beginning reading and math skills through exciting developmentally appropriate computer learning games as well as the many individual and group activities led by child care professionals.
