The sunflower-dotted plains of Kansas, famously known as the "Sunflower State," are not just filled with bales of hay and fields of wheat. Here, the kids of Kansas have discovered a hidden secret, and it's called Jiu jitsu. Every afternoon, the local barn transforms into a secret dojo. The barn doors creak open to reveal youngsters in white robes, their colored belts signifying their level of Jiu jitsu mastery. Among them is our hero, ten-year-old Billy "The Tornado" Thompson, famous for his whirlwind Jiu jitsu moves and his ability to eat three corn dogs in one bite. Billy wasn't always the Jiu jitsu master he is today. He started as a yellow belt, just like everyone else. But he didn't let the color of his belt define him. With the heart of a lion and the tenacity of a honey badger, Billy worked his way up. Now, as a purple belt, Billy stands at the front of the line, his robe flapping in the soft Kansas breeze. He's a sight to behold, a mixture of concentration and determination, mixed with a pinch of humor. He's been known to perform his Jiu jitsu moves while making silly faces, causing an eruption of laughter from his peers. Kids from all over Kansas flock to the barn, drawn by the camaraderie and the chance to spar with Billy, the Sunflower State's Jiu jitsu champ. Despite his status, Billy always makes them feel welcome, reminding them that Jiu jitsu isn't about who's the strongest but who has the most fun. In the heartland of America, amid the fields of wheat and golden sunflowers, kids discover their strength, learn to laugh, and master the art of Jiu jitsu. All under the watchful eye of their friend and mentor, Billy "The Tornado" Thompson.
