With his sunflower seed eyes always sparkling with mischief, Kicky Kan, a black belt Taekwondo master, is as resilient as the Kansas folks themselves. He dances wildly in the wind like the wheat fields, and his laughter, hearty and sunny, is as vast as the Kansas sky. Each day, Kicky Kan teaches the Sunflower Samurais the art of high kicks, punches, and blocks, interspersed with endless laughter and occasional toppling over. But with every tumble comes resilience and with every high kick, a cheer of triumph echoes across the plains. They might be small, but their spirits are as mighty as the Kansas tornadoes.
