About Noggin Builders

Noggin Builders, founded in August 2013, is the perfect place to do just that! Their unique and fun activities for kids ages 2 to 14 help them build the skills they need to succeed in the future. STEM, an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and math, is the focus of their activities. Through the hands-on activities, kids learn important skills like creative problem solving, collaboration, communication, flexibility, and perseverance. It's never too early to start preparing our kids for the unknown challenges that await them. Noggin Builders offers an amazing opportunity for kids of all ages to build the skills they need for success. With their unique approach to STEM, our children can become the future leaders of the world.

Robotics VEX IQ or FIRST LEGO
Noggin Builders offers two robotics team options for children in grades 5th-8th. Both teams begin meeting in late August and will compete in the winter.

VEX IQ
VEX robotics explores the mechanical design of robots as well as coding. From VEX: “The VEX IQ Competition provides elementary and middle school students with exciting, open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning.”

FIRST LEGO League
FLL is a program that helps children build skills in STEM and teamwork. From the FLL organization: “Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game.”
