In the vibrant heartland of the United States, nestled between the shimmering Mississippi River to the west and the sparkling Lake Michigan to the north, lies the bustling state of Illinois. Now, this isn't your ordinary state. Oh no, it's a land where cornfields and skyscrapers happily shake hands, where Abraham Lincoln once roamed, and where deep-dish pizza reigns supreme. But what truly makes Illinois extraordinary are its kids. These kids aren't your regular, run-of-the-mill youngsters. They are...the Illinois Weave Warriors! Leading these Weave Warriors is a whimsical creature known as the Woolly Walrus, a peculiar mix of a walrus and a sheep, with a rainbow-colored, yarn-covered tusk. He's a knitting expert, a fuzzy mentor, and a silly jokester. When the Woolly Walrus sneezes, instead of "Achoo," he says, "Knit one, purl two!" And instead of living in the Arctic or a sheep farm, he calls the aisles of Illinois's yarn stores home. Every day after school, the kids of Illinois, armed with their knitting needles, join the Woolly Walrus. They knit scarves for snowmen, mittens for mice, and even sweaters for the state's squirrels. And when they're not knitting, these talented kids are laughing at the Woolly Walrus’s hilarious yarn puns. So, if you're ever in Illinois and see a flock of kids giggling and knitting, you'll know you've found the Illinois Weave Warriors. And if you're lucky, you might even catch a peek of the jolly Woolly Walrus, sneezing out a new colorful tusk of yarn!

The Little Bits Workshop team is dedicated to helping kids of all ages unlock their potential and create something new. We challenge them to think outside the box and use their imagination to create something truly unique. Our goal is to give kids the tools to not only create something but to truly understand the process and become lifelong makers.
