Welcome, dear friends, to the sun-soaked, orange-juiced state of Florida: the place where palm trees sway, dolphins play, and kids are born with baseball gloves instead of hands! Okay, not really – but you wouldn't know that by the way they play! Baseball is more than just a pastime here, it's a way of life. Every morning, as the Florida sun peeks over the horizon and kisses the dewy grass, kids all over the state leap out of bed and into their trusty cleats. They grab their beloved bats, nicknamed things like "Swingerella" or "Sir Hits-a-lot," and they rush to their local baseball diamonds. Like magnets to a fridge, they're drawn to the smell of fresh leather and the sound of a ball smacking into a glove. They laugh, they cheer, they dive into the dirt and slide into bases. And let's not forget about that one kid who always forgets to take the bubblegum out of his mouth before the game, ending up blowing bubbles as big as his helmet while running bases! Leading the charge is the coolest baseball coach in the universe, Chuckles the Baseball-Playing-Chicken. No one knows why he's a chicken, but man, can he hit a home run! With his chicken-sized baseball cap and matching uniform, he's quite a sight to behold, puffed-up and strutting around the diamond, clucking out advice. And when he's not showing kids how to perfect their pitch, he's cracking eggcellent jokes that have everyone rolling on the grass in laughter. In Florida, the game of baseball isn't just about winning or losing. It's about the joy of the game, the camaraderie among the players and learning from Coach Chuckles, the baseball-playing chicken. So, grab your gear, kids! It's time to play ball!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
