About Gracie Florida Jiu-Jitsu

At Gracie Barra, we understand how important it is to have a safe and encouraging environment for our students to learn and grow. That's why we offer a variety of training options and locations throughout the world. With over 800 academies world-wide, you'll never have to worry about finding a school to train at. Our GB membership makes sure you're welcome at any Gracie Barra school, no matter where you live, work, or travel to. Our staff are ICP certified from Gracie Barra HQ and are trained to properly teach Brazilian jiu-jitsu techniques as well as student safety and environmental safety (COVID). We also ensure that all of our coaches and instructors are First Aid/CPR certified and have completed background checks. At Gracie Barra, we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for all of our students. We understand that having a variety of training options and locations is important, and that's why we have over 800 schools world-wide. With our GB membership, you'll be welcome at any Gracie Barra school, no matter where you live, work, or travel to.

JIU JITSU PROGRAM
Jiu-Jitsu is the most ancient and complete fighting art in the world today. Gracie Florida teaches practical defenses for the most common street attacks such as life-threatening chokes, grabs, punches, kicks, bear-hugs, and headlocks, as well as attacks with weapons such as guns, knives, bottles, baseball bats and sticks. The word Jiu-Jitsu is translated as "the gentle way," or loosely "the art of gaining victory by yielding or pliancy".
