Every day, after school, our small musicians troop to the swaying palm trees at the edge of town, where Funky Fred awaits. There, under the vast blue skies, they conduct a concert like no other. The drums roll like thunder, the violins sing like the wind, and the trumpets roar like the mighty Atlantic Ocean. Even the dolphins dance, and the pelicans prance when the kids play their tunes. Our branch in Wauwatosa is a welcoming space that respects and includes students of every kind, regardless of whether they're novices or seasoned martial artists. Each class that we provide is meticulously planned to challenge students at a personal level, while also creating a positive and rewarding ambiance. This individualized approach guarantees that all our students feel recognized and motivated, which leads to a more successful learning journey. At our academy, we're committed to fostering an environment that brings out the best in each student. Our classes aim to not merely impart martial arts techniques but also to instill qualities such as discipline, respect, and resilience. The Caruth Camp has been around for many years, providing a wilderness camping experience to boys who otherwise might not have been able to participate in residential childcare. Experiential learning opportunities were the cornerstone of the program, and it was successful in its mission, albeit limited in scope to 18 participants. In 1997, the camp underwent a transformation, shifting its focus to the Project Harmony program. Project Harmony is a 5 day leadership retreat for middle school students, aimed at teaching children communication and problem-solving skills while addressing any racial tension or conflicts within the schools. During the retreat, participants undergo intensive training in conflict resolution, cultural diversity, environmental awareness, group-building exercises, academics, and camping. This highly successful program has been nationally recognized, and combined with the Summer Camp and other family programs, serves thousands of boys and girls each year.
