His laughter is contagious, spreading around like pollen on a breezy day, making everyone around him brighten up like sunflowers reaching for the sun. These pint-sized gardeners, armed with their mini wheelbarrows, are on a mission to fill CT with the most vibrant flowers, the crunchiest vegetables, and the juiciest fruits. Whether it's the sunniest day of summer or the chilliest day of fall, you'll find them in their gardens, planting, watering, and laughing. From the seaport lighthouse of Mystic to the bustling cityscape of Hartford, wherever you go in CT, you'll witness their gardening gallantry. Today, the Meigs Point Nature Center (MPNC) is open to all ages in the Connecticut State Park System. This exciting and vital environmental learning center offers a variety of educational programs and activities to the community. All programs at MPNC are funded through donations from the Friends of Hammonasset. Additionally, MPNC is proud to have a team of dedicated volunteers who help make the facility a great resource for the local community. At MPNC, we strive to provide a safe and fun environment for visitors to explore and learn about the natural world. Through our educational programs and activities, we hope to instill a sense of environmental stewardship and responsibility in all visitors.
