Is your child interested in hockey? Then look no further than UTC Ice! Our Youth and Adult Hockey programs are the perfect way to get your kids started in the sport. Our free introductory lesson every Saturday provides the perfect introduction to the game, as well as all the necessary gear. Experienced players will find clinics, classes and leagues to help them improve their skills and take their game to the next level. For adults, our Adult Hockey League is the largest in San Diego County, with 7 divisions that cater to all skill levels, from beginners to semiprofessionals. And our Monday Adult Try It class offers a free introduction to the sport, including all the equipment you need. Plus, our newly-renovated locker rooms and showers ensure that you look and feel your best when you leave the facility. For those looking for more intensive training, our Summer Camps provide both on and off ice activities for beginner and advanced hockey and figure skating. BEGINNER BLADES SUMMER CAMP

In our summer camp, kids will learn fundamental skating skills at the coolest ice rink in San Diego! UTC Ice is a fun and safe environment for kids to learn and stay active in an exciting, unique way. In our Beginner Blades camp, your kids will experience the excitement of summer camp alongside the passion and sport of figure skating!

INTRODUCTORY SKATING CLASS

Our Introductory class is available for skaters who wish to try out our Skating Academy class before registering. For this reason, we require all participants to be a San Diego resident. This class is intended to teach the basics of skating as well as get to know the instructors here at UTC Ice This is the perfect lesson for first-time skaters! Our free introductory skating class helps students to grasp the basics of ice skating (i.e. balance, movements, and terminology). The class is offered one time per skater, after which we encourage you to join our Figure or Hockey Academy to continue lessons and further your potential on the ice! Please bring gloves, warm clothes, and knee-high, snug-fitting socks to the class. Protective gear such as helmets and elbow pads, are recommended but not required.
