Together, these curious kiddos crisscrossed California, from the dazzling Disneyland down south to the colossal Golden Gate Bridge up north. They explored the labyrinth of underground caves in the California Caverns, learned about the ancient Sequoia trees, and even dared to ask what exactly is in the La Brea tar pits. Give your child the opportunity to learn a unique Olympic sport while building confidence, focus, coordination, discipline, and strategic thinking at ALLE Fencing Club in Fort Lauderdale. ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. With experienced coaches and a supportive training environment, students develop both physical and mental skills while learning a sport that challenges them to think quickly, move confidently, and make strategic decisions. Advanced and Elite programs provide additional training for experienced fencers interested in tournaments and high-level competition. ALLE Fencing Club also offers private lessons for personalized instruction and skill development, as well as beginner-focused fencing camps that combine fencing activities with teamwork, confidence-building, focus, and fun.
The Los Angeles County 4-H Youth Development Program has been providing a unique and enriching camp experience since 1931! Campers ages 8 to 18 have the opportunity to make new friends, stay active with organized games and sports activities, explore the outdoors, create arts and crafts projects, and develop leadership skills. Over the years, campers have come from California, and all over the U.S., to take part in the week-long overnight camp program. The camp meets the highest standards set by both the California 4-H Youth Development Program and the American Camp Association. The camp staff is made up of senior 4-H members, adult volunteers, and 4-H UCANR staff, and the 4-H Summer Camp Committee is responsible for managing the program, ensuring ACA accreditation, and selecting the camp's most qualified leaders.
