In the Golden State of California, where palm trees sway to the rhythm of the Pacific Ocean and the sun seems to dance in a forever blue sky, there's a group of extraordinary kids who embark on an amazing journey. They are the 'Kobudo Kids'! In the land where Hollywood dreams come to life, these kids turn into real action heroes, mastering the ancient martial arts form of Kobudo. Each morning, as the first rays of the sun touch the surfboards on the beach, our hero, a cheeky, freckled-faced sea otter named 'Ollie' with a black belt in Kobudo, gathers the eager children. Ollie, though a champion in the martial art, has a hilarious habit of getting his tail twisted while demonstrating the moves, which makes the kids giggle and the seagulls squawk with laughter. The Kobudo Kids are as diverse and vibrant as California itself. From the red-haired, freckle-faced Billy with his shiny nunchaku, who can't resist a juicy taco, to the shy and quiet Mia with her bo staff, who loves reading books between her training sessions, each kid brings a unique flavor to the group. When they are not busy learning the swift moves and twirls of Kobudo, they are racing down the sandy beaches on their skateboards, trying to outrun the frisky waves. Despite their playful antics, when it comes to Kobudo, these kids are as serious as Ollie when he spots a delicious clam. Each day they train, they honor their state, their city, and their dojo with their dedication, their laughter, and their shared joy in the ancient art of Kobudo. So, here's to the Kobudo Kids, the funniest, bravest, and most lovable bunch of martial artists the Golden State has ever seen!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
